Spectrum Fire Protection (UK) Ltd has successfully completed the fire alarm & detection system design, installation, commissioning and verification works to the new Kettering General Hospital Extension. Spectrum was awarded the 180k contract by EMCOR Engineering Services (EES) and completed the full handover of the project during July 2013 on behalf of Interserve. The system features voice enhanced sounders, customised strobes to annunciate alarms and signals from the sitewide systems that control the hospital in its entirety. Over 600 field devices including callpoints and multi-sensors, High Sensitivity Smoke Detection (HSSD), control of smoke control systems and graphical links have been installed and certified under the BAFE SP203 third party scheme. The Gent by Honeywell Vigilon product was selected by Spectrum against this project.
